This is part 4 of our series Forward in Faith and Faithfulness. The mission of Crosswinds Church is : Helping every Family, discover God, His love and His ways. Our mission is based on two statements by Jesus. One what Jesus said was the great commandment of God (Mark 12:29-31) and Jesus great commission (Matthew 28:18-20) which gives the church its purpose in every generation . In this part of the series we look at the word "Discover" in our mission statement. As Jesus disciples we need to help people discover the treasure of God's promises found in His Gospel, in this message we look at what the Bible says about how we need to discover God and help others to discover Him too.

This message centers on the resurrection of Jesus as the foundation of living hope, contrasting it with superficial hopes rooted in money, health, reputation, or religion. It emphasizes that Jesus’ empty tomb is a historical fact that transcends cultural shifts and intellectual objections, giving believers unshakable confidence in God’s promises.

Based on Philippians 1:1-11 Paul wrote the letter to the Philippians while imprisoned, yet his life overflowed with joy because his confidence rested in Christ rather than his circumstances. This message reminds us that true victory begins in our inner life, where our identity is found in being servants of Jesus, partners in the gospel, and recipients of God's unfailing grace.

This message explores how the Israelites' worship of the golden calf reveals that idolatry is ultimately a heart issue, not merely an external action. It challenges believers to examine what truly holds first place in their lives, reminding us that worship is about loving and surrendering our whole lives to God rather than simply participating in religious activities.

This message teaches that the power of prayer is not found in the strength, passion, or eloquence of the person praying, but in the strength and faithfulness of the God to whom we pray. James 5:16-20 reminds believers to turn to God in every circumstance, rely on the support of the church, confess sin, pray with faith that trusts God's will, and lovingly pursue those who have wandered from Christ.

Based on James 5:7–12, this message teaches that believers are called to patiently endure trials and injustice by trusting God's timing rather than demanding immediate justice.

This message explores James 4:1–12 and teaches that the conflicts we experience with others often originate from sinful desires, pride, and divided loyalties within our own hearts. James calls believers to stop blaming external circumstances, humble themselves before God, submit to Him, resist the devil, and receive God's abundant grace.

This message from James 3:13–18 explores the difference between worldly wisdom and godly wisdom. Using the analogy of competing operating systems, the message argues that our words, conflicts, and behaviors reveal what is happening in our hearts. The central challenge is not simply behavior modification, but allowing God to transform the heart so that wisdom produces peace, humility, mercy, and righteousness.

This message unpacks James 2:14–26, where James challenges the idea of faith without action by asking whether such faith can truly save. It explains that faith without works is dead. The message also clarifies that salvation is by grace through faith in Jesus, but genuine saving faith is always demonstrated through a transformed life and obedient action.
