This is part 2 of our series Forward in Faith and Faithfulness. The mission of Crosswinds Church is : Helping every Family, discover God, His love and His ways. Our mission is based on two statements by Jesus. One what Jesus said was the great commandment of God (Mark 12:29-31) and Jesus great commission (Matthew 28:18-20) which gives the church its purpose in every generation . In this part of the series we look at the word "Every" in our mission statement. God wants us to make disciples of everyone because of His great mercy. At Crosswinds everyone is on the target. As a church we seek to be multi-cultural, multiethnic, multi-generational and multi-ideological politically. We care about everybody! Not just people we like or are like us. In this message we identify 7 cultures/things that we are trying to be as a church to show our intention is to minister to everybody.

We go through lots of different things in life and sometimes we believe somethings are impossible. The encounter between Mary and the angel Gabriel reminds us that with God, all things are possible.

To be His disciple, Jesus is asking us the question: Got Salt? Do we have salt? Salt is Good. It takes away bitterness, it enhances the sweet things we eat and preserves our food. As disciples of Jesus we need to be salt in this world, this message looks deeper into what this means.

The reason some cannot be a disciple is not because they are unworthy, it is because they are unwilling to pay the cost of Love. Jesus offers us free the gift of forgiveness but in our text in this message in Luke 14 Jesus makes it very clear that there is a cost to being his disciple. Jesus grace is free but it is not cheap.

Worship on Sunday morning should have the feel of a family dinner. It is time to feast on God’s word and celebrate His goodness to us with gratitude in song and prayer. And we are all invited to this feast! We all need to be eating God’s word everyday so we each look fat and happy because of it.

We all fail at loving others sometimes. And we we do it is often because of our pride. Price can make us either overconfident in our importance or insecure. For it is when we are worried about whether we are loved that we forget to love others. In this message we look at how the reason for our insecurity can be pride.

Do you realize you were made to be good? Often in in church, we talk about the fall of man or our sinful nature. The truth is we sin, every one of us, according to the bible. We all depart from God’s perfect design. The bible does not start on the depravity of man it starts with man’s and woman's design of good. We were made in God’s image and the bible says God is truly the only good thing!

God is both tough and tender! God loves me enough to tell me when I am going the wrong way! We all run from His love at times and seek to do it our way! But His love is tough he does not run away from us!
