Jesus told many parables about the kingdom of heaven using the picutre of a party. The problem is, sadly, that some will not get in because they aren’t ready according to the way God has declared that we must enter into the celebration. In this parable of the virgins, Jesus tells us to shine brightly as we faithfully wait for His return.

Everything in this world will encourage you to love, worship, adore, idolize, serve yourself. In this familiar parable from Matthew 25, Jesus describes faithfulness, reward, and the Father's joy towards those who take seriously their identity as servants in the kingdom.

You may have finished school many years ago, or still be in school, but there is one ultimate Final Exam awaiting us all. In Jesus description of the judgment, we learn some important truths about faith and a life lived for the glory of God and the good of others.
