Society has many views , speculations, and doubts on what the after-life will be like. God’s word gives us some images of things in heaven that we can be sure of. The most frequent illustration of heaven is that of a large, festive banquet. At the beginning of eternity, there is a large feast called the “wedding supper of the Lamb.” (Re 19:9) The invitations have been mailed, the guests are making their RSVPs, and the table is being set.

When we break the ties that bind us to our community, co-workers, and family, through faith in Jesus Christ and allegiance to Him, we end up with a new family, a new way to use our talents, and a new citizenship in Heaven. In this message, we will see how Peter says our connection to three community structures is transformed to bring God glory.

Sin brought many unintended consequences to our first parents - consequences which have been passed down to all of humanity. But there is hope! In this sermon, Pastor John looks at how Jesus brings deliverance from the curse of sin and promises to bring us into a new Heaven and new Earth where life is restored to how God intended it.

One operates on the basis of Grace. The other on the basis of Law. Which do your actions towards others show that you are a citizen of?

What does it mean to be made for more? It does not mean you were made for more stuff, not more power, not more money not more possessions. You were not born primarily for these things. Pastor John Stillman takes a deeper look into Psalm 122 to answer the question what were we made for.

Jesus’ church has been blessed and built up by a long and wonderful practice of sharing words of encouragement, direction, and praise. In this message, Pastor John provides a message to the church on how to commend the good in others while praising the glory of God.
