In our very pluralistic society, we could have conversations with people and ask, "What's your God like?" There are many ways we could describe our God, but one of the central features of God's nature and identity is to forgive sin. Many people have been hurt by disability, disaster, or the decisions of those around them. God's plan is that His concern for them would be administered through us - but often we are too preoccupied with our own wants. God made us for Himself and to find our satisfaction in Him. But because of sin, our worship has been turned upside-down so that we pursue idols for our satisfaction and happiness. The word Utopia is from a Latin word that means "no place." It seems that there is nothing in this life that is perfect. But in Psalm 16, the psalmist reflects on his God and seems to say, "My God is perfect." When imperfections and craziness destroy your "utopia," look up to a perfect God!

What does it mean to be made for more? It does not mean you were made for more stuff, not more power, not more money not more possessions. You were not born primarily for these things. Pastor John Stillman takes a deeper look into Psalm 122 to answer the question what were we made for.
