The Parable of the Prodigal Son reminds us of God's relentless pursuit of our hearts. It teaches us about the extravagant love, grace, and mercy that our Heavenly Father lavishes upon us. The rejoicing that is in this chapter can be lived day by day. We are called to rejoice with Him when lost souls are found.

Today many who claim to have faith only seem to have wish. The greatest problem Pastor Ken sees in God’s church today is not resources. We have more resources of communication, information, educated people, and freedoms to do things. The problem is we often treat faith more like a wish which is an apathetic and fearful approach that will produce little work of value. Faith must work! It takes determination, persistence, discipline, and strength to hold on to faith.

God gave everything to us when he died on the cross. He gave total surrender of His good soil to amend the thorny, rocky, and hard soil of our hearts. He gave us perfect love.

In this message we look at Elijah and how he demonstrates unwavering faith and obedience to God's instructions and boldness in challenging the prohpets of Baal, and how we can apply this in our own lives.

Part of our series, You turn to Joy, that delves deeper into the parables in Luke 15. This part of the series looks at the first part of the parable of the Prodigal Son. This story speaks of God's fierce love for us and our own brokenness.

Listen to Pastor Ken's message as he shares God’s Kingdom culture that will help us grow together in 2022. Part of that culture is to be devoted to hearing the word of God. So, take a listen! Then practice another part of the culture by connecting with someone else in the church for prayer or a meal.
