The story of Christmas is so familiar to us that often we lose the message of what this blessed event mean to mankind. The Angel tells the Shepard’s not to fear hear the message that God is now with us we truly have nothing to fear because God has got our back. This is true “Tidings of Comfort and Joy!”

More Joy

We apologize for the inconvenience. We all want to have more joy in our lives! But joy is different from happiness because it often comes at the end of suffering or struggles. In this message on the parable of the Lost sheep in Luke 15:3 - 7, there is a struggle going on. The "sinners" are drawing near to hear Jesus and the religious in the crowd are grumbling. Jesus want to lead both groups of sinners to more joy. So He tells them a parable about the nature of God's love for us all as sinners.

Luke speaks of 4 groups of lost people, the sinners, the tax collectors, the Pharisees and the scribes. Everyone might have thought that some of those groups like the Pharisees and the scribes are those near to God and some of the other groups may be far from God. But it was the sinners and the tax collectors that were drawing near to Jesus and listening to His message.
