As a church we are called to be “driven” by two things. 1) Glorifying Jesus through worship and obedience. 2) Ministering to others and proclaiming the gospel. Throughout the book of Acts, there are people driven by just these two things who are immensely satisfied and joyful. What drives you? What is the mission of your life? The direction of New Testament Christians is simultaneously vertical (as the church glorifies and obeys Jesus) and horizontal (as we minister to others under the guidance of the Holy Spirit).

The mission of the church is to “march off the map” in search of people who don’t know Jesus – yet.

Hot Topic #5 “Evangelism”…Is it a hot topic for you? It is a hot topic for Jesus! Pastor Ken preaches today from Acts 1:1-11. We are to be his witness. Being a witness is something we are not just something we do. If Jesus has taken you from eternal death to eternal life you are a witness of that life and it is to be shared with a dying world. In this part of the series we look at the word "Every" in our mission statement. God wants us to make disciples of everyone because of His great mercy. At Crosswinds everyone is on the target. As a church we seek to be multi-cultural, multiethnic, multi-generational and multi-ideological politically. We care about everybody! Not just people we like or are like us. In this message we identify 7 cultures/things that we are trying to be as a church to show our intention is to minister to everybody.
